Overview
Vilon is a synthetic dipeptide, L-lysyl-L-glutamic acid (Lys-Glu, KE), from the Khavinson short-peptide series. It is produced synthetically rather than isolated from tissue, and has been studied in thymocyte, lymphocyte and monocyte cell cultures.
A 2022 peer-reviewed study reported that KE modulates STAT1 and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in the THP-1 human monocyte line. No validated receptor target is established; the chromatin-interaction mechanism described in the source literature remains a proposed model. Its full sequence is Lys-Glu (KE).
