Overview
Testagen is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly, KEDG) from the Khavinson short-peptide series. It contains no steroid nucleus and is unrelated to androgens chemically; it is a four-residue peptide.
KEDG is reported to penetrate cultured cells and their nuclei, to bind deoxyribooligonucleotides with sequence preference, and to associate with histones H1, H2B, H3 and H4. These are in-vitro and modeling findings. Its full sequence is Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly (KEDG).
